Hey everyone!

First off, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who downloaded, played, and shared feedback on the Sproutmart Single Player Alpha Demo. Seeing you build your first stores, stock shelves, and grow your first crops has been incredibly motivating throughout development.

As of today, I am officially retiring the Alpha Demo.

The reason is simple: Sproutmart has evolved far beyond what that old demo represents, and I don’t want to spend valuable development time rebuilding and maintaining a separate demo version this close to Early Access.

Since the demo first released, the game has grown with major additions and improvements including multiplayer, new systems, UI upgrades, gameplay improvements, more content, and a much more polished overall experience.

So, about the current development progress:

Most of the core systems are now more or less complete, including the tutorial and multiplayer. Right now, my focus is mainly on adding more content, polishing systems, balancing gameplay, and improving the overall experience. My goal is to have a solid version ready for internal testing by the end of May.

Once I’m satisfied with the state of the game, the next step will be a Steam Playtest sometime during Summer, followed by the Early Access launch whenever I feel the game is truly ready.

If you want to be among the first to know when the Playtest and Early Access go live, make sure to wishlist Sproutmart on Steam.

More updates β€” including a new look at multiplayer β€” are coming soon.

Back to work for me!
